National Cancer Survivors Day details

Thank you to all who registered for Hope Center‘s “National Cancer Survivors Day: A Journey of Hope” on Sunday, June 3. We can’t wait to celebrate survivors with you!
Check-in opens at 8 a.m.  Pre-ordered shirts and Hope Center wristbands will be available for pick up between 8 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. A yellow wristband is required for lunch. We have nearly 500 registered participants. Please don’t wait until 9 a.m. to arrive. If at all possible, please carpool; parking may be limited. If your t-shirt order or lunch order is incorrect, please be patient with our volunteers. We’ll do the best to correct the situation. Participants are welcome to change into their t-shirts in the church bathrooms.
A 2.5 mile neighborhood walk through Lowell will begin promptly at 9 a.m. There is no fee to participate in the walk. All are welcome! Families are welcome to bring strollers and wagons. Participants are also welcome to bring signs in honor of a survivor or in memory of a loved-one.
Survivors are welcome to relax in the Survivors Tent if they are unable to walk the route. (Transportation will be available for those who are unable to complete the route.)
A worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Lowell Church of Christ. We’ll pray for all survivors and their families. All faiths are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring chairs to the service.
A group photo of survivors will be taken immediately following the worship service.
Pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, salads and desserts will be offered to those that pre-paid for lunch. Friends who did not pre-register for lunch are welcome to pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the afternoon with us. Participants are welcome to bring chairs and pop-up tents to the picnic. Seating will be limited.
Hope Center/Lowell Church of Christ is located at 299 N. Burr in Lowell.
